Ephemeral Mails
Postcards serve as a physical time portal to our notion of home. Each postcard stamps a significant event over the course of an individual’s history, yet also exposes us to the many shifts between the past and present. Families move, household ownership is passed down, or in the worst of times, houses are destroyed or boarded up. The notion of home is always evolving, yet the address always remains the same. Each one of these unique letters or postcards dating back over 20 years old was found lost in a donation box or vintage shop. I have sent this back to its intended address; a potential home.
