healing frameworks

In response to the daily pressures of presence and productivity within the workplace, I began to find myself moving towards abstraction as a healing process – as a form of reaction rather than retraction. Daily poetic musings and non-representational forms find their shelter on paper and become temporary proxy for my presence. My mark making serves to rehabilitate the body from exhaustion and labored extraction, and consequently create a space for these emotions to be valued.
